AUGUST BIRTHMONTH GIRLS

Chelsea's birthday was August 9th & Jennys' was August 10th. So, you say -well, those dates have come and gone. Exactly, which leads me into my new point of reference. Regarding birth - "days". They come quickly and then they are gone - gone in 24 fly by hours! It is anti-climatic! The birthdayee gets short changed - especially if the birthdayor (new verbage for a new idea :) has spaced that particular short 24-hr. time frame! So, I propose that on occassion we have a birth "month". Does anyone remember the Berensteins Bears book "Too Much Birthday"? The only problem was that the little bear had to much birthday stuff in that ONE day - if it had been drawn over the period of one MONTH...well, no problem. Everyone wins - especially the birthdayor who might have needed a full month! Watch the mail birthdayees!

Confessions of a fan...

I really liked vampires and werewolves as I grew up. I remember the movie "I Was a Teenage Werewolf" and "Dracula"- loved it! I loved the fantasy and the romance that was so often included. I liked to be "a little" scared. When horror movies took a turn toward the more frightening occult direction and they got bloodier and just to realistic, I had to jump ship. Then recently came "Twilight" (directed to a teen audience - hmmm...) by Stephanie Meyer. It was de-ja- vu for me and I was hooked! I finished the 4th and final book ( Breaking Dawn) in the series over the weekend. After filling Dad in on the story, I read him the last 50 pages on our trip to go wave running by Ft. Spokane (gorgeous area with still primitive surrounds). He had questions and enjoyed the final action. So...who else is reading The Twilight Series in the family? I know of two - maybe four - who are you and where are you in the reading? The movie is coming on Dec. 12th - I saw a trailer for it when I was at Brian and Beckys in AZ. The casting looked good. Who else is hooked?
